TMAZ is a tribo-mechanically activated and finely ground zeolite volcanic rock powder used for detoxification.
Zeolite is a naturally occurring aluminosilicate mineral formed from volcanic ash and seawater, producing a unique crystalline structure with a powerful negative charge. This structure allows zeolite to act like a molecular “sieve”, attracting and binding positively charged particles — particularly heavy metals such as lead, mercury, cadmium and aluminium. Through this process of cation exchange, zeolite can help the body offload accumulated toxic metals in a gentle and efficient manner. TMAZ stands for Tribo Mechanically Activated Zeo and is based on the alumosilicate volcanic mineral clinoptilolite which has been 'tribomechanically activated' via a special patented process, resulting in a powdered rock product. This process takes the raw volcanic mineral through a special micronization machine which grinds down the rock into tiny particles, greatly increasing both its surface area (up to 300%) and its effects. This technology specifically increases the capacity of cation exchange and leads to much superior absorption and resistance to stomach acid.
TMAZ is a very strong cation-exchanger, able to remove heavy metals. Several scientific studies prove that it can, due to its profound absorption and adsorption actions, also act as a strong agent for removal of harmful compounds such as micotoxins (like aflatoxin B1), polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (like pyrene or benzo[α]pyrene), nitrosamines, arsenic compounds, harmful amines, dioxins and many other types of toxins. Clinoptilolite can also absorb large particles like bacteria and viruses into macropores and onto their surface. In this manner, they act as bacteriostatic and virustatic agents. TMAZ also exhibits strong antioxidant-like effect (stimulation of superoxide dismutase; SOD), and non-specific immune modulating actions. It is believed that TMAZ may also stimulate the immune system immune system.
