MycoNutri

MycoNutri was founded in 2008 by Martin Powell, a biochemist and practitioner of Chinese medicine who trained in London, Taipei and Shanghai and wrote two well-known books on medicinal mushrooms. He set up the company because he couldn’t find mushroom supplements he trusted for his own patients. Instead of low-grade mycelium on grain, the range uses concentrated extracts, often dual hot-water and ethanol extracts, so both the polysaccharides and the triterpenes come through. The products are made in the UK, tested for pesticides and heavy metals, suitable for vegans, and much of the range is certified organic by the Soil Association.
