Cogni8® is a new food supplement from Japan made with high-quality, clean Hokkaido scallop oil, which naturally contains phospholipids called plasmalogens. This new Daiwa Pharmaceutical product supports healthy brain function.
As we age, the plasmalogen levels in the neural membranes of our brain naturally decline. This is due to a fall in peroxisomal function, the cellular process that produces plasmalogens.
Cogni8 from Daiwa Pharmaceutical is a scallop oil food supplement that naturally contains phospholipids called plasmalogens, along with DHA and EPA. The scallop oil itself is extracted from scallops grown in Hokkaido, Japan’s northernmost main island, where the waters are cooler and mineral-rich. The scallops are not only produced sustainably, with juvenile scallops released onto the seabed and then dredged up three to four years later, but the oil itself is extracted from the residue of the scallop once the meat is removed for the food markets. (This residue is usually just used as fertiliser.)
The extraction process, which Daiwa Pharmaceutical hold patents for, ensures that their scallop oil, branded HSOP (Hokkaido Scallop Oil Plasmalogen), contains 0.5mg of scallop-derived plasmalogen per gelatin softgel capsule. The scallop oil is held in an olive oil base, then encapsulated in a softgel.
Directions: Take 2 softgel capsules of Cogni8 daily, with food. (Not suitable for children under 3 years old.)
