Augmented NAC is a potentiated form of N-acetylcysteine (NAC), developed by BAI Technologies in Switzerland as a detox supplement. NAC is an amino-acid-derived antioxidant and the direct precursor to glutathione, the body’s principal antioxidant and a central part of its detoxification system, particularly in the liver. By supplying NAC in a more potent form, Augmented NAC is designed to support the body’s glutathione levels and, through them, its own detoxification processes.

Beyond detox, NAC is also valued for its role in the airways, where it helps to thin mucus, and for helping to protect cells from oxidative stress.

Directions: As a food supplement, take 1 capsule of Augmented NAC twice daily (2 caps per day in total), ideally 1 before breakfast and 1 before dinner (on an empty stomach), or as directed by your health practitioner. This can be reduced to 1 per day after 3 months. Do not exceed the recommended dose. Store in a cool, dry place.

Children: Not for children under 3 years. For older children, consult a healthcare practitioner and reduce the dose in proportion to body weight relative to adult weight.

Contraindications: Do not take Augmented NAC if hypersensitive to NAC or any of the ingredients. If you have asthma or a bleeding disorder, or have had recent surgery, check with a doctor as NAC can slow blood clotting.
