AlphaZomal™ Vitamin B-Complex is a liposomal B vitamin complex for enhanced absorption and utilisation. All eight B vitamins are supplied in their active coenzyme forms — with folate and B12 in their methylated forms — so the body can use them without first converting them.
The advantage of liposomal-form nutrients is that they are held inside a double phospholipid layer — the material of our own cell membranes — so they are absorbed more efficiently. Over 90% of the vitamin B complex in this supplement is in liposomal form. No heat, high pressure, solvents, freeze drying or spray drying are used in production, so the nutrients reach you clean and intact.
AlphaZomal Vitamin B-Complex contains:
- Vitamin B1 (Thiamine Diphosphate / Cocarboxylase): Supplied as cocarboxylase, the active coenzyme form of thiamine. Vitamin B1 contributes to normal energy-yielding metabolism, normal functioning of the nervous system and normal function of the heart.
- Vitamin B2 (Riboflavin 5-Phosphate): The active, phosphorylated form of riboflavin. Vitamin B2 contributes to normal energy-yielding metabolism, the maintenance of normal skin and vision, the protection of cells from oxidative stress and the reduction of tiredness and fatigue.
- Vitamin B3 (as NADH): NADH (nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide) is the coenzyme form of niacin found in every living cell, where it takes part in the reactions that release energy from food.
- Vitamin B5 (Calcium Pantothenate): Pantothenic acid contributes to normal energy-yielding metabolism, normal mental performance, the normal synthesis and metabolism of steroid hormones, vitamin D and some neurotransmitters, and the reduction of tiredness and fatigue.
- Vitamin B6 (Pyridoxal 5-Phosphate): P5P is the active coenzyme form of vitamin B6, needing no conversion in the liver. Vitamin B6 contributes to normal psychological function, normal red blood cell formation, the normal function of the immune system, the regulation of hormonal activity and the reduction of tiredness and fatigue.
- Vitamin B7 (Biotin): Biotin contributes to normal energy-yielding metabolism, normal functioning of the nervous system, normal psychological function and the maintenance of normal hair and skin.
- Vitamin B9 (Folate as Methyltetrahydrofolate): Folate is provided in its methylated form, the form the body uses directly, rather than as synthetic folic acid.
- Vitamin B12 (Methylcobalamin): The methylated, body-ready form of vitamin B12. Vitamin B12 contributes to normal energy-yielding metabolism, normal functioning of the nervous system, normal red blood cell formation, normal homocysteine metabolism and the reduction of tiredness and fatigue.
- PABA (Para-Aminobenzoic Acid): A traditional companion to the B vitamins, included to round out the complex.
No added sugar, no flavourings, no preservatives. Soya-free, dairy-free, gluten-free and vegan.

For everyday B vitamin support, AlphaZomal™ Vitamin B-Complex suits anyone who wants the B vitamins in the forms the body actually uses, rather than in bulk doses of the cheaper inactive forms.
AlphaZomal™ Vitamin B-Complex takes a different approach from the high-dose B-complexes that fill the shelves. Most of those rely on the least expensive, inactive forms of the vitamins — folic acid, cyanocobalamin, plain pyridoxine, plain thiamine — at large doses, on the assumption that enough will get through. This formula does the opposite. It uses the active coenzyme forms that the body would otherwise have to convert for itself, such as pyridoxal 5-phosphate, riboflavin 5-phosphate, methylcobalamin and methylfolate, and delivers them inside liposomes so that they are absorbed efficiently. Because so little is wasted, the doses can be sensible rather than heroic.
Two ingredients deserve a word of explanation. NADH (nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide) is the coenzyme form of vitamin B3 found in every living cell, and is included here in place of ordinary niacin or nicotinamide. PABA (para-aminobenzoic acid) is a traditional companion to the B vitamins that was once counted among them, and rounds out the complex. The bamboo leaf extract that makes up the bulk of the capsule is the carrier for the liposomes and is naturally rich in silica.
The capsule may be opened and the contents stirred into food or a cold drink for anyone who prefers not to swallow capsules. The product is supplied in an amber glass jar to protect the contents from light.
