New research conducted by Cancer Research UK has revealed that more than 100,000 cancers diagnosed each year in the UK can be attributed to lifestyle factors such as smoking, drinking and bad diets. That translates to 40% of all cancer in women and 45% of all cancers in men. [source]

A review of peer-reviewed research on mobile phone safety, undertaken by the World Health Organisations and involving 31 scientists in 14 different countries, has found that that personal exposure to the mobile radiation is "possibly carcinogenic to human," and are now listing mobile phones as a "carcinogenic hazard". Those in the natural health world have known about the dangers of mobile radiation for years, but it is certainly a surprise to see an official health organisations now admitting the dangers after so much public denial. A new study in the British Medical Journal has shown that PSA screening is basically a bogus test and offers no increase in survival. The PSA test has been a cornerstone of prostate cancer prevention, and so it is quite a shock to find that the test, which has recruited countless thousands of men into cancer treatments, has turned out to be useless. And yet there are many clinics and hospitals around the world that are still using the PSA test as a marker for prostate cancer. No doubt, this will change over the years to come as the impact of this BMJ paper sinks in. [source]

Cloned meat and milk in Europe will not require labels so that consumers will be in the dark if they are eating and drinking Frankenfoods. Caroline Spelman, Food & Farming Secretary, led the moves in Brussels to sabotage attempts to give consumers choice. This unethical move means that GMO foods will now become mandatory for European citizens. This is a sad day for consumer health and consumer choice. We have been let down by our own government, and it is clear that neither of the major political parties are prepared to look after the health of the UK citizens, choosing instead to support big business. Be careful if you are a vegan, because if something bad happens to your baby due to nutritional deficiencies, as occasionally happens with babies brought up by any parents, you could find yourself facing a lengthy prision sentence for manslaughter. This happened recently to a French vegan couple whose baby died at 11 months of age due to a deficiency in Vitamin A and Vitamin B12, and they are awaiting prosecution for irresponsible parenting, despite the fact that babies of non-vegan mother occasionally die from nutrient deficiencies.
